How do we treat?

We acupuncturists love needles, they can do amazing things. But that’s far from all that we do. Traditional treatments have always included some alternatives to needling. Cupping, moxibustion, gua sha, and Chinese remedial massage are popular methods which we offer.

acupuncture

Hair-thin, sterile, single-use needles. Inserted carefully into precise locations to send specific messages to the body.

cupping therapy

Suction-based treatment with glass or plastic cups. Instant effect on tension, excellent for neck, shoulder and back pain.

gua sha

Scraping therapy applied to broad body areas. Dramatic effects on blood flow to the treated area generate an immediate and lasting effect.

moxibustion

Heat based therapy using dried herb. Mugwort is fashioned into tiny cones and burned, warming the specific area deep inside the body.

non-insertive methods

Chinese remedial massage therapy and external stimulation of acupuncture points. Perfect for the needle-phobic, non-insertive acupuncture methods take a gentler approach to treatments.

About

Our guiding principle is that you will feel in control of your health and your treatment.
